The main objective during this session is to give a real sense of what it means to be the 'artiste' in a professional recording session and there is professional production and vocal coaching from Degree qualified engineers and musicians to help you achieve your goal.... a master CD / DVD. There is during this session a real attempt to achieve a truly professional outcome but the support throughout the session is always sensitive, good humoured, and packed with fun.

This experience is open to all ages from 10 to 100 years young with no prior knowledge necessary but a little preparation (known in the trade as pre-production) will improve the final outcome if you’re looking for the truly professional edge.

Come prepared by knowing the songs you are going to sing and practice delivery, words and pitching (the tune) until it flows comfortably. The studio has a catalogue of 30,000 tracks but you may just be the unlucky one to want something obscure so let us know your requirements early, otherwise have a number of back up tracks ready to take a shot at.

You can of course acquire your own backing tracks and bring them along with you. These can be sourced on the Internet or provided by most high street music shops. (Excellent preparation because you are able to prepare with the actual track and familiarise yourself with its demands). Please email us for help in sourcing your track this way.

Please be realistic. Don't take on a piece that exceeds your abilities unless the experience required is mostly about a giggle and a personal first hand insight into the world of recording. If you can't sing the higher notes at home, you won't necessarily find it any easier in a studio. It is worth remembering that we will in 99% of all vocal sessions flatter the vocal sound of our clients and results are often remarkable. (Let’s face it we see this every day with our professional clients!) There is an absolute guarantee that the quality of the recording, the studio facility and its staff will be excellent, however it is impossible to give the same assurance for the music ability and accuracy of an untrained voice. We are miracle workers but we cannot yet bring a 'dead voice to life'! That said we'll do our level best to get the take of a lifetime in the can and mastered up.
